Oxfordshire & District Contest Grows In Numbers

The Oxfordshire and District Brass Band Association are thrilled with the volume of entries to their Winter Contest, to be held this year on February 25th and 26th.

This is the first time that ODBBA have held this contest over the whole weekend, which comes as a result of having to close entries early last year due to reaching capacity.

Contest Controller David Roberts told A4B: “So far we have around 35 bands entered to this year’s contest, and there is still room for more. This event is rapidly becoming one of the biggest in the country, and we are proud and delighted that so many bands keep returning to our contests”.

This own-choice contest is an ideal opportunity for bands to try out their Area test pieces, taking place just a couple of weeks before most regionals.
