Easingwold March Contest Set To Return
The iconic Easingwold March and Hymn Tune contest could return this Summer.
Held in the market square in Easingwold on the last Saturday in June (24th), the committee are looking into the feasibility of re-launching the contest with a proposed total prize fund of around the £1200 mark.
A spokesperson for the committee told A4B: ‘At this stage we would like to invite expressions of interest, and any comments from bandsmen and women on the contest itself before fully committing to a 2017 contest.
As always, the contest would be facilitated on our behalf by the Yorkshire and Humberside Brass Band Association, and the contest organiser/controller is Garry Hallas (Vice-Chairman) who can be contacted on 07732 396776, [email protected] and via Facebook.
We look forward to the prospect of a great evenings music making, supporting the brass band movement and entertaining the people of Easingwold and beyond.’
