City of Sheffield Ready To Host Test Piece Evening

The City of Sheffield Band Club is pleased to announce that they are hosting a Yorkshire Area Preview night this coming Sunday, 26th February at the Niagara Club, Hillsborough, S6 1LU. The evening will start at 7:30pm and feature a band from each section, who will perform their Test Piece in preparation for their assault on the Yorkshire Area the following weekend.

Championship – Hepworth (Pageantry)
1st Section – Unite the Union (Land of the Long White Cloud)
2nd Section – Meltham & Meltham Mills (Rhapsody in Brass)
3rd Section – Oughtibridge (Darkwood)
4th Section – Deepcar – (St. Andrews Variations)

The evening will be adjudicated by Nick Garman, who will be lending his ear to each performance and provide feedback at the end of the evening to help the bands prepare in the run up to the contest.
Following the ‘remarks’, there shall be a short concert performed by the Championship section band, Hepworth under their conductor, Leigh Baker. Tickets are £4 on the door, and the doors open approx. 6:45pm.
