Yamaha Boost For NEMBBA Youth

At their Spring course last Sunday 54 young players from the Midlands area had a boost with the news that Yamaha will provide the services of Tuba star Simon Gresswell as one of the team of tutors.

Simon joined the team of Gary Wyatt, Stan Lippeatt, Michael Dodd, Brett Baker and Neil Edwards as the band prepares for a joint concert in June with the Blidworth Welfare Band.

Youth Band Director, Martin Heartfield, told A4B: “I am delighted that with the support of the Notts Music Hub, NEMBBA and now Yamaha, the future of this exciting young band is very bright. The number of members grows with each course and we are all very proud of what these young players are achieving.”
