Doncaster Brass On Tour

Following an invitation from the local Tourism team, Doncaster bands enjoyed a tour of new, not so new, and very different venues in their town.

As part of the continued rejuvenation of Doncaster Town Centre, Richard Young of Visit Doncaster led the bands to the Corn Exchange, The Little Theatre, Cast Theatre and a secret auditorium which is connected to the town’s rich history of horse racing.

The tour, co-ordinated by Brass Bands England and Visit Doncaster, is hoped to be the beginning of a series of brass-focused events to be hosted by the town, in celebration of the historic links between brass and coal, and in anticipation of strengthened promotion of local brass bands.
