Woodfalls to Give Free Public Concert
Woodfalls Band, currently the Champion Band of the West of England, will be performing a free concert in Redlynch on September 3rd. This event follows their win at the Regional Finals in Torquay back in March and will be a “Proms in the Park” concert on the fields at the Redlynch Sports and Social Club.
Audience members are invited to bring a picnic, chairs and rugs and enjoy a concert featuring favourite fare from the traditional Last Night of the Proms. There will also be a fully licensed bar available.
Woodfalls Band chairman Paul Street told A4B: “This is your chance to come and listen to our village band weeks before they travel to London to play at the world famous Royal Albert Hall as part of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain!”
A raffle will be run during the evening with proceeds helping the band to meet their prestigious commitments as they travel across the UK to perform at several high profile events. The Downton Training Band will be providing the support act.
“Proms in the Park” is on September 3rd starting at 5pm at Redlynch Sports and Social Club and is free. If wet the concert will be held inside.
