Boobs & Bradwell Set For Charity Concert
On 30th September this year, the BBC Award Winning all-female band, Boobs & Brass will perform in a joint concert with Bradwell Silver Band. Bringing together female players from across the country, the bands will showcase big-band numbers, raising money for Breast Cancer in the process.
Bradwell Silver Band has selected The Venue in Walton High, Walnut Tree as the venue and there will be performances by both Boobs & Brass and Bradwell Silver Band with many massed-bands numbers with over 70 band members playing, a unique event that should not be missed!
Award Winning Boobs and Brass
On the 9th of June, Boobs and Brass were awarded the BBC Music Day Brass Band Award, for the band that best embodies “the power of music”.
Boobs and Brass were formed over 10 years ago and at the last tally have raised £201,154 in total with £171,313 being donated directly to the charity Breast Cancer Now. The first all ladies band started in 2006 when friends Jane Nichols and Margaret Betts discussed the idea over a cup of tea, now they boast three separate bands covering the whole country.
