North of England Regionals Changes Running Order
At a recent meeting of the regional committee of the North of England Brass Band Championships, it was decided to suspend the normal rotation of sections. This would enable the committee to stage the contest more effectively, making best use of the fantastic venue.
Regional Secretary Tony Griffiths told A4B: “In order to make use of the existing booking of the Gala, to the maximum, we have decided to suspend the normal rotation of sections. I understand that some bands may have planned their weekend using the original rotation formula, but the new running order is using all our resources more effectively.”
The new running order is now as follows:-
Saturday 17th March 2018 – (In order)
Fourth Section
First Section
Second Section
Sunday 18th March 2018 – (In order)
Third Section
Championship Section
All bands have been informed and the regional committee looks forward to welcoming all bands and their supporters to Durham on the weekend of 17th and 18th March 2018.
