RESULTS: Pogson Bray Contest 2017

The 31st Annual Brass Band contest organised by the Pogson Bray Trust committee took place last Sunday 15th October, at Berties at La Cachette, Elland. 11 bands performed an Entertainment Programme (which had to include a March) for adjudicator David Ashworth.

Results:-
1. East Riding of Yorkshire (Garry Hallas)
2. Kippax (Ian Knapton)
3. Clifton and Lightcliffe (John Clay)

Best March: Kippax
Best Stand up Soloist: Cameron Chapman (Cornet) Emley

Section Prizes for bands not in main prizes:-
Best 3rd Section: Dinnington Colliery (Lindon Bolt)
Best 4th Section: Friendly (Neil Robinson)
Best Youth/Unregistered: Thurlstone (John Hopkinson)
Special Prize to highest place youth band: Shepherd Group Youth (Craig Brown)
