Inaugural Scarr Bandstand Festival Announced

The Friends of Scarr Bandstand are pleased to announce the first of what they hope to be an annual open air entertainment contest at this wonderful historic bandstand in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, on the 10th June.

Open to all 2nd, 3rd and 4th section registered brass bands this will be held on Sunday 10th June from 12noon. With a prize fund of an estimated £1000 raised through support from local businesses. There will be prize money for the top bands and for the highest placed 3rd and 4th section bands. With a bar and food available on site as well as stands and free admission for the public it promises to be a fun, entertaining day and a great way to spread the word about grass roots brass banding.
