Gresswell Departs The Yorkshire Imps

The Yorkshire Imperial Urquhard Travel Band announce with regret the immediate departure of Musical Director Simon Gresswell.

The band have gone from strength to strength during the last few months and have seen extremely musical and very moving performances during Simon’s brief tenure with the band.

A spokesperson for the band told A4B: ‘The band hope to continue this hard work and carry their determined attitude to re-establish one of the most famous brands in the brass band world and to climb back to the very highest echelons of music making in the future. As a result, we hope to hear from prospective candidates to work in front of this committed, and regenerated, group with the same ideals in the near future. The band look forward to finding the right man or woman for the job in advance of our next contesting appearance in Blackpool at the Senior Cup and look forward to creating a long lasting and fruitful musical collaboration.’
