Brass Bands England launches new webinar series
Following a short break from online delivery in July, Brass Bands England (BBE) is launching a new series of online webinars and events.
This new programme will feature a range of online webinars focusing on different elements of performance, artistic direction and band governance delivered by a range of speakers and members of the Brass Bands England team.
In the next webinar, Philip Harper is back with a further session on the topic of arranging for brass band. This is an ideal follow-on workshop for those who joined Philip in our June webinar ‘Arranging for Brass Band’ and for anyone with basic experience in arranging music, and will chart the development of an arrangement from the initial idea through all stages of creation and decision-making to a shiny finished product. Anyone who missed the initial arranging webinar can catch up with the video on the Brass Bands England facebook page – www.facebook.com/BrassBandsEngland.
This webinar will be delivered online on Wednesday 19 August at 7:00pm using the Zoom webinar platform so attendees can interact and ask questions throughout the session.
This session is free for BBE members, and £5 for non-members. More information on Band or Individual Membership can be found on the BBE website – https://www.bbe.org.uk/join-us. To register for this webinar go to https://www.bbe.org.uk/civicrm/event/info?id=90&reset=1.
Next up in the series, the Brass Bands England Team will be joined by Nicki Tonge of World of Brass for an interactive and informative webinar on the topic of copyright.
As copyright is such a wide and varied topic, the hosts are asking in advance what attendees want the webinar to cover, for example live-streaming, performing rights or obtaining music. Attendees can submit requests and questions to the hosts in advance via this google form https://forms.gle/zq17kcaGbt1R24UN9
This webinar will be delivered online on Thursday 3 September at 7:00pm using the Zoom webinar platform so attendees can interact and ask questions throughout the session.
This session is free for BBE members, and £5 for non-members. More information on Band or Individual Membership can be found on the BBE website – https://www.bbe.org.uk/join-us. To register for this webinar go to https://www.bbe.org.uk/civicrm/event/info%3Fid%3D91%26reset%3D1.
For the foreseeable future, Brass Bands England will be running webinars fortnightly, in addition to a regular ‘drop in’ sessions, where members of the Brass Bands England team will be available to answer questions, talk about project ideas and have the opportunity to meet members!
Any questions about upcoming events can be directed to Brass Bands England’s Education and Development Coordinator Sarah Baumann on [email protected].
