Strata Quartet Arrive Ahead Of Championship Assault

Strata Brass have announced several new signings ahead of their appearance at the Yorkshire Regional Championships.

Philip Barrett joins the front row from South Yorkshire Police Band whilst Hannah Broadbent returns to take a 2nd cornet seat having recnetly returned to the area from university.

Natalie Tyrell takes up the solo trombone seat from Shirebrook Welfare Band and Dinnington Colliery band MD, Lindon Bolt, completes the bass section taking up the vacant Eb Bass chair.

A spokesman for the band told A4B: ‘These players bring with them a wealth of experience and complete the team For the ‘Area’ contest. We are now focussed on what will be a big challenge to maintain our Championship Status but our MD Alan Hobbins has already raised the bar at the first few rehearsals and the band are responding well.’
