Trombone, bass and cornet

Brackley & District Band are looking to recruit trombone, bass and cornet players in particular. We rehearse Mondays and Fridays at 7.45-9.45pm in our Band Club in the centre of Brackley (NN13 6DF). There is rehearsal space upstairs and a bar downstairs where people will often stay behind afterwards to have a drink and a chat.

We are presently working on a collaboration with an award wining composer which means we will be having two piecees composed for us over the coming months so this is something which we are excited to be involved with. In terms of gigs and contests, we have a number of gigs throughout the year and it is our aim to do more contesting with a view to securing a good result at the Area next year.

Mark Probert as conductor has brought exciting new repertoire and bags of enthusiasm to the band. Rehearsals are fun and rewarding so if you’d like to come along please get in touch.
