Foden’s Band Room Fire Update
Following the band room fire in April ’16, all items were subsequently removed to a lock up in Sandbach with the 40 foot lock quickly filling with fire damaged property. Over the past year, a considerable amount of time has been spent at the lock up to establish if any items could be recovered, repaired or restored. The band are pleased to announce that the lock up has now been closed and all artefacts that can be restored have been sent for restoration.’
A spokesperson for the band told A4B: ‘The band have been running a Just Giving Page since the fire and we will now close this on the 1st September. If any one would still like to make a donation towards the costs of our restoration work (which is not covered in Insurance policies) this will be greatly appreciated.

In December 2016 Foden’s were successful in a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund which will see the digitisation of their various historical artefacts. Once the recovered items have been repaired or restored these will be digitised and added to the bands archives. All the digitised information will be housed on a new ‘Heritage Website’ which will be launched in March ’18’
Foden’s have also produced a video to explain about the Funding award and what this will entail
