Yorkshire Grit Required as Regional Championships to Proceed as Planned

With the ‘Beast from the East’ severly affecting bands in the Yorkshire region this week, with cancelled rehearsals and causing major travel disruption, it has been confirmed that the Yorkshire Regional Championships shall run as normal.

In a statemement made by the committee, Peggy Tomlinson, Yorkshire Regional Secretary told A4B: ‘After much deliberation, consideration of the logistics of re-organising the contest and despite weather conditions, the decision has been taken that the Yorkshire Regional Championships will go ahead as planned on Sat/Sun 3rd/4th March 2018 at the Town Hall, Huddersfield.

In making this decision the committee would request the understanding of all our competing bands and wish them well in their support of our championships.’
