Adjudicator Training Scheme Hailed A Success
The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (AoBBA) has been delighted at the success of their adjudicator training scheme.
The AoBBA trainee adjudicator scheme was developed with the purpose of giving experienced musicians who had no previous adjudicating experience the opportunity to learn the basics of adjudication under the supervision of experienced adjudicators.
The popularity and success of the scheme has grown so that there are currently six trainee adjudicators seeking full membership of AoBBA.
Secretary Nicholas Garman told A4B: “Many trainee adjudicators are now full members of AoBBA and all those speak very positively about how the process helped, informed and prepared them to be able to undertake adjudication to the high standards AoBBA expect of their members.”
David Hirst added: “We are extremely grateful to contest organisers for their assistance in allowing our trainees the opportunity to adjudicate in a contest environment and look forward to continuing these excellent relationships in the future”.
Anyone wishing to apply for a place on the trainee programme, commencing September 2019, should visit the AoBBA website (http://www.aobba.com/about-us/apply-for-membership/) for further details or contact: Nicholas Garman (AoBBA secretary) by email: [email protected] or by phone: 07527636147.
