New Uppermill MD Makes Great Start

New MD at Uppermill Band Dean Redfern, is off to a flying start after recently directing the Band to a third place at the Rochdale Contest, their best result in recent years.

Dean, who decided to retire both as a Player and Chairman of Brighouse & Rastrick Band earlier this year is delighted to be back in banding with the team at Uppermill.

John Ward, Chairman of Uppermill Band told A4B: “The Band are delighted to appoint Dean as our new MD, he’s been like a breath of fresh air with his positive attitude and new ideas and I’m sure there will be many more successes to follow for the Band”.

After a busy Christmas period the next challenge for the Band will be the North-West Area Championships held in Blackpool in February.
