BBC Science Show Calling For Musicians
Studio Lambert, the BAFTA-winning TV production company behind Gogglebox and Doctor in the House are looking for musicians to appear in the second series of the hit BBC Two show, “The Big Life Fix With Simon Reeve.”
This exciting and innovative science series sees a team of skilled scientists, engineers and designers create bespoke technology for individuals and groups to transform their lives for the better. In the first series, the team came up with solutions for a range of issues affecting individuals and communities, including creating a device to counter the effects of Parkinson’s disease for a young graphic designer, building a bicycle for a boy born with no hands or feet and connecting a remote village in Wales to the internet.
A spokesperson for Studio Lambert told A4B: ‘This series, we’d love to feature a musician who is currently unable to play their instrument and see whether it’s possible for our fix team to come up with a solution to enable them to perform again. We’re looking for individuals (and groups) who have been involved in the music world (either as a professional or a talented amateur) but who are currently unable to perform due to a health condition, old age etc.
Our scientists will then see whether it’s possible to adapt their instrument to make it lighter, operable with one hand or generally easier for them to play.Essentially, we’re looking to help anyone who thinks their life (or someone’s they know) could be improved by our brilliant team of engineers and inventers.’
If anyone is interested in applying, they can call the casting team on 0203 040 6908 or email them at [email protected] If selected, the team will work with them to tackle their problem or challenge using ingenious design and technology. All calls are treated in the strictest of confidence.
