Chalkers Produce Sponsorship Deal For Haslingden & Helmshore

Haslingden & Helmshore are proud to announce a new association with Chalkers, the market leaders in the supply of Fresh Produce in and around the North West of England.

Band spokesman, Phil Smith told A4B: “We’ve had a few offers of help recently and all are very much appreciated and needed, but we are especially excited to be associated with a company such as Chalkers. Chalkers have a fantastic reputation for quality and have been built on solid foundations, just as we have tried to do with the regeneration of the Haslingden & Helmshore Band.”

Ron Chalker Ltd dates back 55 years when Ron Chalker set up a small wholesaling business operating in the Lancashire area. This business was particularly successful following the introduction of a van sales operation.

Ron Chalker also purchased a small shop and before long this side of the business had expanded through demand for deliveries

Assistant Principal cornet player for the band and Chalkers Managing Director, John Chalker, told A4B: “I’m very pleased to be part of the Haslingden & Helmshore Band’s revival, they’ve had a torrid time of late but I know believe they have turned a corner, I’m looking forward to playing in the band and similarly to my company, they have a traditional yet modern fresh outlook and are a very forward thinking band. With people like Simon Cowen at the helm along with the team we are building, I do think we can go on to bigger and better things…the future is bright !
